We're Hiring! Join the Teligence Online Marketing Team

The Teligence online marketing team is growing! We’re looking for a kickass Campaign Manager and a super creative Web/Graphic Designer to help us grow our business online, and have a blast doing it.

I Can’t Think of a Good Kayaking Pun. Canoe?

Showing more athleticism than the rest of the Teligence marketing team, the media buyers, creative design and promotions teams chose to brave the open seas for their team building event.

Team Building, Exciting and New

Another day, another limo ride, scavenger hunt by speedboat through Howe Sound, picnic at Snug Cove on Bowen Island, humiliating attempts at badminton and frisbee, and return trip by passenger ferry to Granville Island.

The product management, direct marketing, online marketing and creative teams celebrated their achievements and the return of summer sun today at their annual team building event, featuring a jam-packed schedule and tons of fun.

Teligence Connectors Hit It Out of the Park

The Teligence Connectors entered this weekend’s playoffs only one point behind the leader. Saturday was a grueling day, with three games back-to-back. We one the first by one, lost the second by one, and killed in the third with a decisive 15-7 victory, leaving us perfectly poised for Sunday’s final game.

Were Number One! We're Number One!

It might be a bit too early to celebrate, but we're in the home stretch of the regular season, (there's only three weeks left), and the Teligence Connectors are at #1 in their division with a record of 12-5-0! And before you ask, we can assure you it’s not a division of two teams—but 12.

There's only five games left, so keep your fingers crossed for our talented team to finish strong and enter the play-offs on top!

On Our Soapbox Again: The Vancouver Canary Derby

Team Teligence spent today at the second annual Vancouver Canary Derby at Deer Lake Park, watching the Vancouver tech community compete for a great cause and great prizes, including trophies for top fundraisers and fastest racers. The Derby challenges local companies to design and build soapbox carts raced by their company’s CEO, to raise money for The Canary Foundation, supporting early detection of cancer research in BC. This year’s event raised $113,000!

Pedal to the Metal! The Teligence Big Bike Team Has Heart

Today Teligence participated in the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Big Bike Fundraising campaign! …If not on the date originally planned…

After furiously doing “sunshine dances” to the weather gods, the Teligence Pedalers headed to the event on Tuesday, May 12 in glorious weather—only to find on arrival that, in their enthusiasm, the Firefighters’ team that rode the Big Bike just before them actually broke the bike! Despite panicked tinkering, the onsite crew was unable to repair it, so the team returned to the office disappointed, but hopeful that they could reschedule.

Batter Up! Meet the Teligence Connectors

The Teligence Connectors kicked off their Slo-pitch Baseball Season yesterday with a win against visiting team, Pattie's Girls. Way to go, team! Our talent line-up of baseball stars includes Karen, Jeff, Sherryll, Ken, Michele, Noel, Rick, Rodolfo, Edgardo, Kelly and Chantel.

A Striking Achievement

Never ones to miss an opportunity to raise money and glasses for a good cause, the Teligence team was out in force at the 2009 Bowl for Big Brothers Classic. Sure, we ended up in the gutter but we had a blast—and, together with 419 other Vancouver companies, we raised $825,000 to help BC children be paired with mentors.

Thanks to our bowlers Chris, Christophe, Brian, Shannon and Shantel, and a special shout out to the girls, who won TomToms for raising over $1000 each. Well done!
